The anticipated expansion pass for Pokémon Sword & Shield is now upon us, and the new Isle of Armor DLC avails trainers with a lot of new Pokémon options to add to their Pokédex. One of these is Zoroark, a Dark-type Pokémon introduced alongside Zorua in Generation V.
Also called the Master of Illusions, Zoroark is common to the Isle of Armor DLC which is also common to Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, two members of the Pokémon game series. In this article, you’ll learn all the different ways you can get Zoroark in the Isle of Armor DLC of these two Pokémon games.
Getting Zoroark in Pokémon Sword and Shield: Isle of Armor
There are two major ways to find Zoroark in these two Pokémon games; using a Wishing piece in the Tower of Darkness, and evolving Zorua to Zoroark at level 30.
Using a Wishing Piece in the Tower of Darkness
First thing you need to do if you’re looking to find Zoroark in Pokémon Sword and Shield is to locate the Tower of Darkness in the Challenge Road area of the Galar region made available with the Isle of Armor DLC. Usually, you’ll find that location in the top right of your map.
Once you’ve spotted it, head to the Tower of Darkness. Right behind the Tower of Darkness, you will find a mysterious Pokémon den hidden. This mysterious Pokémon den is in the form of a hole dug in the ground, so you know exactly what you’re looking for.
Now, one essential you should make sure you have on you as you journey towards the Tower of Darkness is a Wishing piece because when you find the mysterious Pokémon den behind the Tower of Darkness, what you’re required to do is to throw in a Wishing piece into the hole.
Don’t think that throwing a Wishing piece into the mysterious Pokémon den automatically guarantees you a Zoroark. Not at all, it’s a game of chance in this case. If you get a Zoroark on your first trial, then you’re darn lucky!
Sometimes, however, you do not get a Zoroark on your first trial of throwing in a Wishing Piece into the mysterious Pokémon den behind the Tower of Darkness but instead get some other Pokémon, for instance, a Sharpedo.
If that is the case, there’s no need to despair. You’ll just have to save your game, quit, relaunch and go over the whole process again. Until you get Zoroark, which is usually after just a few trials, for the lucky ones on the first trial, make your way to the Challenge Road Tower of Darkness and throw in a Wishing piece into the mysterious Pokémon den you’ll find right behind the Tower.
That’s how to get Zoroark in Pokémon Sword and Shield Isle of Armor. Always make sure you have a Wishing piece at hand and be full of hope. You’ll surely find a Zoroark behind the Tower of Darkness.
Evolving Zorua into Zoroark at Level 30
If you already have Zorua in your Pokédex, you can instead take this route. Simply level your Zorua Pokémon up to level 30 and fight a high-level Pokémon in the Wild Area to evolve it into Zoroark. We’ve already covered how to find Zorua on this site.
Getting many of the new Pokémons in the new expansion is relatively easy, but it can quickly become a task if you don’t know where to find them. This is why we write these articles, so make sure to check for other guides we’ve published on finding different Pokémons in the Isle of Armor in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
