You’ll find those Ashes in Archdragon Peak, a secret endgame area. This is the best way to farm unlimited amounts of these items, and we’ll cover this exact process step-by-step.
Accessing Archdragon Peak
To access Archdragon Peak, you’ll first have to find the Path of The Dragon gesture from the Consumed King’s Garden. If you’ve already got this gesture, great! Skip ahead to the section titled “Flying To Archdragon Peak”. If not, continue reading to find out how to get it.
Step 1: Finding The Path Of The Dragon
To learn the Path of The Dragon gesture, you’ll first have to defeat the Dancer of The Boreal Valley to gain access to Lothric Castle. You can do this as early as when you first reach the High Wall of Lothric, but it’s recommended that you wait until the game teleports you there after beating your third Lord of Cinder. Once the Dancer is dead, warp to her Bonfire to get started. Climb the ladder at the end of the boss arena to ascend into Lothric Castle. Before you enter the Castle proper, though, make a left and head up the flight of stairs here. Follow the path around and take out the large knight, then take the elevator down. You’ll find yourself at the entrance to the Consumed King’s Garden. This area is very dangerous, but it’s easy to run through if you know the way. The Garden is set out in a simple rectangle shape, with the elevator at one end and the boss arena, your destination, at the other. Simply run forward past any enemies until you reach a stone courtyard that leads down towards a fog gate. Behind that fog gate is the Oceiros, The Consumed King boss fight. Head inside and take him out, then continue on into the room behind the boss arena. Follow this corridor until you reach a dimly lit tomb. In the center of this room is a corpse with an item on it. Interact with the item to get the Path of The Dragon gesture.
Step 2: Flying to Archdragon Peak
With the Path of The Dragon gesture in your possession, warp to the Irithyll Dungeon Bonfire to begin your journey to the peak. Walk forward from the Bonfire room until you reach the end of the corridor. Take out the Jailor here, then turn to your right and walk down this narrow pathway until the path opens up. Take out the next Jailor, then turn down the left path, across the tight bridge the Jailor guarded. Turn left at the end of the bridge, and head through the metal gate. Once through the gate, drop off of the ledge to your left, then turn right and continue down the path until you head through another metal gate. Follow this path round, then take the elevator down to find a cliffside populated by dead NPCs performing the Path of The Dragon gesture. Walk into the gap between NPCs and perform the Path of The Dragon to trigger a cutscene and travel to Archdragon Peak.
Finding The Dragon Chaser’s Ashes
Once you’re in Archdragon Peak, follow the path forward until you reach a Bonfire on the top of a cliff. Once you’ve lit it, you’ll have unlocked a permanent warping route back to the Peak that you can use at any time. From here, head into the ruins ahead and take out the boss that spawns in. Upon killing it, you’ll be teleported to the main section of the Peak. Light the Bonfire here, then slowly work your way through the linear path of Archdragon Peak until you reach the Great Belfry Bonfire at the top. It’s from this Bonfire that you can find the Dragon Chaser’s Ashes. Exit the Bonfire room through the door to the left, then follow the staircase down. Once on flat ground, turn left past the broken brick wall to see a rising path that juts out from the mountain. Walk up this path until you reach a set of stairs, then turn left before climbing up them to find a hidden side path. At the end of this path you’ll find the Dragon Chaser’s Ashes on a corpse, guarded by a Rock Lizard.
Buying/Farming Titanite Scales & Twinkling Titanite
Once you’ve collected the Dragon Chaser’s Ashes, warp back to Firelink Shrine. From the Shrine Bonfire, walk forward into the tunnel dead ahead, then talk to the Handmaiden against the right wall. Choose to ‘Give umbral ash’, then select the Dragon Chaser’s Ashes. With the Ashes handed to her, she’ll begin to sell new items, including Titanite Scales and Twinkling Titanite.
Each Titanite Scale goes for 20,000 Souls Each piece of Twinkling Titanite goes for 15,000 Souls
And the Handmaiden will have an unlimited stock of both materials for the rest of the current playthrough.
