Don’t worry though, the newly-relocated gym is fairly close and easy to find. Since we’re going island-hopping, you’ll need a Pokémon with Surf in your party. Remember, you’ll be battling a Gym Leader, so pack plenty of Potions and your strongest team. Start by surfing on the water immediately south of the Pokémon Center. From this point, Surf as far east in a straight line as you possibly can. You’ll pass some small beachy islands and plenty of trainers. Eventually, you’ll hit a wall of rocks in the ocean. At this point, head a little south until you can go east once again. Follow the wall of rocks east until you reach the entrance to the Seafoam Islands with a trainer standing outside. Go inside the cave and take the ladder going upward. You’ll emerge into the room containing the hastily-relocated Cinnabar Gym. The ‘puzzle’ here is totally straightforward. Simply battle each one of the scientists and they will step aside to let you through. Heal up before talking to Gym Leader Blaine. His Pokémon are strong, but your team at this point should be more than able to handle them. Blaine’s team is as follows: Each member of his team carries a White Herb, which prevents the Special Attack drop from their Overheat moves. His entire team is weak to Water-Type, Rock-Type, and Ground-Type moves, so plan your team appropriately. And remember that Water-Type moves are weaker and Fire-Type moves are stronger for 5 turns after his Pokémon use Sunny Day. Good luck!
